Born in New Jersey, Chaiklin has lived in USA, Brazil, and Europe. Currently she is living and working in New York City.

Chaiklin is a graduate of The College of Art, Washington University in St. Louis, and an alumni of New York Studio School. Chaiklin has received grants from the New York State Council on the Arts, and Women’s Studio Workshop. Her international Artist-in-Residencies have been at Cité Internationale des Art, Paris, France and Stiftung Starke, Berlin, Germany.

Chaiklin’s work has been exhibited in Russia, Germany, and the USA, in such venus as The Marble Palace, Galerie im Saalbau, and The Corcoran Gallery of Art.
